After my enXLosure project for Prusa XL, I am excited to announce;
COREBOXX → The Filament Storage System for Prusa CORE one!
COREBOXX is an all-in-one platform for;
- Neatly storing, organising, and managing filament in an enclosed space
- Adding fully functional MMU3 to the CORE one (from MK4S MMU3 kit)
It is fully printable on the CORE one itself and is easy to build and assemble, with very few required parts.
It is designed to fit neatly into the Prusa CORE design language while retaining all the printer's functionality.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the premium version which has;
- Magnetic mounting to the CORE one frame
- Full support for in-built MMU3 with built-in passive buffer system
- A service hatch to easily maintain the MMU when necessary, without removing a bolt.
- Extra mounting points for future accessories
- Short MMU to nextruder bowden tube of 52,5cm
- Passive, rewinding spoolholders for neat MMU buffering
- STEP files for easy modding
- Pre-sliced gcodes
- Fully prepared Prusaslicer project files
I also made a freely available standard version, which;
- Mounts on top of the CORE one machine, or sits aside the machine on the desk
- Supports 5 spools of 1kg filament (up to 72mm in width)
- Keeps all functionality of CORE one (including front access to chamber vents)
- Is fully 3D printable on CORE one itself.
- Is designed to feel and look in-line with the design language of CORE ONE.
- Has a full-access door that closes magnetically
- Has a strong frame design, which mounts with sturdy heat set inserts

Printing instructions;
All 3D printed parts are pre-oriented. To make sure the parts are strong, please use the uploaded prusaslicer project files or gcodes.
If you slice the files yourself, please make sure to have at least 3 perimeters and 25% homogeneous infill (cubic or gyroid). Also, make sure that all wall thicknesses are a minimum of 0.7mm thick, and that the “ensure vertical wall thickness” option is enabled.
If you print this on a machine with a 300mm or larger bed, you can re-orient the frame parts to print without supports.
Total printing time;
- Main color → 4days, 12hrs - Split over 5 gcodes
- Secondary color → 7hrs, 16min - Split over 2 gcodes
Total printing material;
- Main color → 2.6 Kgs
- Secondary color → 160 grams

I created a detailed 59-page build/ user manual that you can find via this link;

Hardware kit
If you do not want to deal with the hassle of self-sourcing all parts, or do not have access to a lasercutter, I have made kits available for purchase ($109) via;
- Aliexpress; COREBOXX kit - via Aliexpress
- Blurolls direct store (5% savings); COREBOXX kit - via Blurolls
We will have them available from warehouses in the EU and USA soon.
Kits are checked and use high-quality polycarbonate, fasteners, and lead-free inserts.
I do get some compensation from all sales made, so buying the kits supports me as a creator
